Workshops on Managing the News Media are available throughout most of the year.

The Schwartz Group is willing to travel to workshop sites throughout the country. Workshops should be set up a few weeks in advance to give us the chance to customize the presentation to your group or business. Our representative would be in touch with your organization well in advance to gather information on your activities.

In that way, we will be able to customize each workshop to your singular problems and be more readily able to answer the questions that would be specific to your situation as it deals with the various media.

Workshops would run two to three hours in both the morning and the afternoon. The first session would cover the news media itself, the various kinds you would want to consider and how to deal with them and their personnel.

The second session in the afternoon would deal with news releases, their makeup and how to form them. It would also include practical exercises and critiques in making up news releases that would apply to your organizations problems and situations.

If an organization wished, the Schwartz Group would be happy to set up and organize a second day which would be focused on visits to at least one of your major television and radio stations. During this visit, your people would get a practical experience in seeing how a television and radio news operation actually works and get a chance to hear from one of the key people in their newsrooms.

The Schwartz group is prepared to do workshops for small and large businesses, associations, trade groups, non and not for profit organizations. We have already done this for a number of organizations. All materials for the workshops are included .

It's important to remember that this training is not "public relations". This training is unique in that it brings you inside a newsrooms' organization and explains things to you that you could not get by any other means. There are "secrets" about dealing with news media that only an experienced insider would know about. The Schwartz Group fulfills that mission.

Our services are available most of the year. The only exception would be certain periods during the summer months and on Tuesdays during the winter months when we are busy at the New York State Legislature.
